Alex has worked with Local Futures in the USA and India, where he coordinates our Ladakh Project. He has worked at the Sambhaavnaa Institute of Public Policy and Politics in Himachal Pradesh, India, and represents Local Futures in the Vikalp Sangam/Alternatives India initiative. He has worked with cultural affirmation and agro-biodiversity projects in campesino communities in a number of countries, and is active in environmental health/anti-toxics work

Kunzang is from Nubra, Ladakh, and joined the Local Futures Ladakh team in the summer of 2019 to help coordinate the Ladakh Economics of Happiness conference. In 2017, she left a job in Delhi and started Infinity Ladakh with a vision to encourage spiritual and physical well-being by promoting yoga, meditation & nature expeditions. 

Spalzes is from Yurtung Leh. In 2012 She started Solja cafe : a hyper local restaurant serving dishes with locally sourced ingredients and has been volunteering with Local Futures Ladakh since 2022 and joined the team officially in January 2023.

Padma Rigzin is from Hemisshukpachan village, Ladakh. Like many natives of his generation, he grew up with one foot in the Ladakhi lifeworld and the other in the modern lifeworld. Presently he is a researcher. His research interests include village studies, traditional knowledge, Anthropocene, snow leopards, and wildlife. He has also been associated with the Local Futures Ladakh team since May 2022.

Jigmet is from Chemday Village, Ladakh. He has worked with Local Futures Ladakh since 2019. He is an outdoor enthusiast who is keen to connect with different people from Ladakh and the world. Singge is also a vocalist, farmer, student and professional worker.
